About Heather

Having recently returned from 6 years complaining about the daily rain in Glasgow, Scotland, Heather can now be found complaining about the incessant sunshine as she lives part-time in Raleigh, NC, and part-time in Charleston, SC. Heather worked for Shoeshine Records for 6 years and is now making a living as a freelance writer. She spends most of her time writing about music, but she has been known to write the occasional political, health, travel, or cooking article.

Heather loves, loves, loves music, spends most of her money on music, and will happily bore you to tears talking for hours about the importance of independent record labels and her collection of Wedding Present Hit Parade seven inches. Her favorite bands are The Magnetic Fields, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Belle and Sebastian and lots more, not to mention her special fondness for dancehall reggae. Go figure.
