Skillet MP3
From LoveToKnow Music
With a discography of seven incredible albums and over a decade of different musical sounds to their credit, you might not know what the next Skillet MP3 will sound like -- but it's going to be good.
Skillet: The Band
The Christian band Skillet formed in the 1990's with three members John Cooper (vocals, bass), Trey McClurkin (drums), and Ken Steorts (guitar). After the dissolution of bands Urgent Cry and Seraph that Cooper and Steorts respectively played in, Skillet was born. True to their name, the band's releases have proven their ability to succeed in various styles and leave expectant fans waiting to see what will cook up next. Although lead vocalist, bass player, and songwriter John Cooper has remained from the early years on, several other band members have changed. The band's current members consist of Cooper; his wife Korey on keyboard, guitar, and backup vocals; Lori Peters on drums and backup vocals, and Ben Basica on guitar.
The Sound
Although the band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, their sound is anything but country. The Skillet hits range from grunge, worship, metal-infused rock alternative rock, electro-industrial, and rock mixes. Despite their evolving sounds, however, you can count on the message of any Skillet MP3 to reflect the band's Christian faith. Musically, the band is compared to bands such as Evanescence, Nine Inch Nails, Bush, and Fuel -- but even the softest of their hits stays strong with lyrics that are positive and hope-filled.
Comatose MP3 Hits
Skillet's latest release, Comatose, is much sought after when it comes to listening and downloading MP3's. The album, which has sold over 200,000 copies and reached number fifty five on the Billboard Charts, has a melodically edgy, progressive-rock influenced sound that grabs fans from a wide range of ages. Both the full album and individual MP3 tracks are extremely popular. Comatose tracks include:
- Rebirthing
- The Last Night
- Yours to Hold
- Better than Drugs
- Comatose
- The Older I Get
- Those Nights
- Falling Inside the Black
- Say Goodbye
- Whispers in the Dark
- Looking For Angels
You can listen to three of the top Comatose tracks at Pure Volume and recommend them.
