Limewire RSS Feed
From LoveToKnow Music
In order to keep up with the latest developments in the world of free music downloads, it's an excellent idea to subscribe to the official Limewire RSS feed. This way, you will be kept up to minute in terms of anything new the Limewire team may have in store for its adoring public, any fixes to potential problems that you may encounter while downloading free music through Limewire, and even some random interesting facts that may want to be aware of.
Limewire is one of the most popular peer-to-peer (P2P) music sharing programs out there. With a huge community of users, you can find just about free music you want, from the latest Ice Cube MP3 to classical music for the more traditional set. It's all there, but be sure that you're aware of all the legal issues involved with downloading music online before you proceed. For more on Limewire, check out official review.
What is RSS and Why is It Important?
Before we get started, many of you may not be familiar with what RSS is in the first place, so it's kind of a moot point to discuss it until everyone is on the same page. There are several schools of thought on exactly what RSS stands for, but many people say that it is "really simple syndication." Basically, when you use an RSS reader -- like the free http://www.google.com/reader">Google Reader -- it automatically updates whenever one of the "feeds" is updated.
For example, if you subscribe to the LoveToKnow Music RSS feed, your RSS reader will immediately inform you of when any changes or new articles are posted on this site. With an RSS reader, you can manage multiple feeds from all of your favorite sites.
RSS is important (and useful) for many reasons. You can know when any RSS-enabled website is updated without actually having to visit it. When downloading free music, for example, you may visit several web destinations to see what has recently been released. By subscribing to the appropriate RSS feeds, you won't have to visit several websites at once. This saves you a lot of time and effort!
Limewire RSS Feed
If you check out the official Limewire home page, you'll notice that they also have an official blog. While you could visit this site every day or two to stay in the know, it's a heck of a lot easier to simply subscribe to the appropriate Limewire RSS feed. Currently, the official Limewire blog has two RSS feeds.
I suggest that you subscribe to both, because oftentimes, the comments left by the Limewire users can be very useful and helpful, especially if you're running into some trouble with your installation of Limewire. They may also point you toward websites that'll tell you about the latest music downloads.
