About James Taylor
James Taylor is one of music’s most enduring stars. His career has encompassed four decades and counting. He first rose to mainstream success in the early 1970s, riding the wave of success enjoyed by many singer songwriters during the period when their folk inspired, simple songs became a radio staple – in fact, during this period, Taylor married fellow singer songwriter Carly Simon with whom he collaborated on many projects. (The pair divorced in 1983.)
The 1970s might have been Taylor’s heyday, but he has never been far from the spotlight. His extensive list of releases have always sold well, and his self titled album and Sweet Baby James album remain some of the consistently biggest selling back catalog albums year after year. See below for a full list of James Taylor releases.
