The iPod Video is a fifth-generation version of the popular Apple iPod. Featuring a high-resolution video screen, it is a portable music player that is capable of storing large amounts of data.

What is different about the iPod Video?

Although Apple does not recognize it by this name, the iPod Video is the newest in their line of basic iPods (the iPod nano is but a smaller version). This new version is capable of colored video playback. Although the iPod before it boasted the first colored screen in the series, actual video playback is a new feature. Other changes in the model include reduction in size of the trademark click wheel and movement of the earphone jack. Although the battery life has improved with music and pictures, it is cut short with video play. There are two versions available: the 30GB model and the 60GB model. Retailing at approximately $300-$400, the iPod Video is a completely new innovation in the groundbreaking Apple series of music players.
