The free Rhapsody service allows users to listen to 25 songs each month and enjoy unlimited access to 25 digital music channels. To get started, users just need to register with an email address and download the Rhapsody player. If you're looking for unrestricted access to Rhapsody's catalog, there are two membership plans. Rhapsody Unlimited costs $12.99 a month, and Rhapsody To Go costs $14.99 a month. Both plans include unlimited streaming and downloading to your computer. If you want to enjoy your music away from home, you'll need to purchase the Rhapsody To Go package. With Rhapsody To Go, you can transfer downloaded songs to any Rhapsody-compatible portable MP3 player.

Rhapsody offers a catalog of over 3 million songs. Search for any artist, album or track to get started.
If you're looking for new music to enjoy, check out Playlist Central for recommendations from other users. You can also create your own playlists for personal use or to spread the word about your favorite artists. Categories include:

- Genre Mixes
- Label Spotlights
- Single Artist Mixes
- Theme/Holiday Mixes
"Top Albums", "Top Artists" and "Top Tracks" list your personal favorites according to your listening history and ratings.
Create a genres list to get personalized recommendations in "Albums for You", "New Releases", and "Just Added".
Use the Artist Alerts to receive email notification of new songs from your favorite artists.
If you're not sure where to start with an artist's work, check out the "Must Hear" and "Most Played" selections. You can also browse by album.

Features

Rhapsody offers individual music downloads for 99 cents. Rhapsody Unlimited and Rhapsody To Go customers can enjoy a 10% discount on all purchases. Some tracks may not be available for download.
Rhapsody's streaming radio channels are free of ads and DJs, so you can enjoy hearing nothing but music.
In order to burn your Earthlink music downloads from Rhapsody, you must buy each song. If you have not already purchased a file, you will be prompted to do so when you attempt to burn it. If you would like to check the status of your songs in My Library, look at the Track Type and Burn columns for detailed information.
New music is available every Tuesday as soon as the albums hit stores.
It's free to share music with friends, even if they are not Rhapsody members.
Users can access their music from any computer through the "My Library" section of the Rhapsody website.
Mac and Linux users can enjoy the Rhapsody service.
Share your thoughts with other users by rating songs and albums.
While you can listen to purchased tracks on an iPod, iPods are not compatible with tracks downloaded through the Rhapsody To Go subscription service.
